The barren earth is burning under my feet  
I can feel cooling life in the grasses  
Thru my feet I feel the world  
Sensitive to the changes

And even tho it’s hot  
The berries gladly shine on  
The tarflowers’ blossom  
Their sticky perfume drifts

While my feet burn  
The world takes a turn  
I wish to see thru mother’s eyes  
And know why she never stops

I think what I’d see  
Is she never give it up  
Keep moving and keep learning  
Love in Resilience
