If God is the guiding voice inside
Then I have one of those
My god tells me to go outside
And feel it with my toes
The life outside is fascinating
I wont tell a lie
So why am I procrastinating
Will I live before I die?
Being inside is lonely and bare
With manmade reproductions
Where we sit idly and stare
At screens and their seductions
The outside world is where we belong
Everything we need, we have it
When we are together, we are strong
See our separation as a habit
What is it when a habit is problematic
Some say addiction, I suppose
And denial seems automatic
When faced with what we chose
So I go outside as my god suggests
Living in harmony and free
Watching ants is the best!
I think my god is little kid me
Little me before I met the world
I could never understand
They said I'm a bratty little girl
When I won't do as they demand
Watch the way wildlife live
We belong to the same ole life
Do I take more than I give
Do I tell more truth or lies?
On the other side of these walls
The vast living world awaits
Listen, can we hear their calls?
They have no money, no states
Our way is to grow money
That we cant eat or use
Wait, isn't it funny
That this is the life we choose?
I know we all want the same things
Because of our interconnection
Do we reject deadly comfort for little stings
To reach perfect imperfection?
The outside world is surely demanding
The discomfort we can't escape
All it takes is a little understanding
This little life makes one lovely shape.
