A couple days ago, I snipped some holy basil, quickly bringing it to my nose for a big whiff (it smells amazing) but smacked myself in the face with a monarch chrysalis 🫣 I was so worried I’d done irreparable damage because they’re quite vulnerable in that stage. I placed the clipping in a small pot of soil with the chrysalis hanging off and crossed my fingers 🤞🏼 that it would still emerge. Needless to say, I am soooo happy to welcome a new friend to the garden this morning!!! 🦋 ☀️ ❤️
