Demographics risk stereotypes and stereotypes don’t always hold true but they can help to tell a story of generational experiences. A person who was raised in poverty may have different habits at the store than someone who was not. And so would their children. A person who experienced a traumatic event may have a different experience with fireworks than a person who didn’t. And so would their children. School shootings and child abuse- crime against children is a desperate attempt to have power. Why does a specific demographic perpetrate the majority of crimes against our most innocent civilians? Why do they need to feel so powerful? Do other demographics have enough power and don’t care for more? Where does this craving for power come from? Hierarchy, supremacy, colonialism, capitalism, all these things go together. Foods for thought.
