I had a bad day today and really struggled through it. After work, I decided to go outside and lay in the grass by the community lake to soak in some sun. I was immediately overwhelmed by the vast universe of life I found there. Ants scurrying up and over blades of grasses, beetles burrowing along underneath, birds singing, teeny tiny spider webs spun between the blades of grass and when I looked really closely, I could find the teeny spiders too. As I laid down, cheek on the ground, I marveled at the various flowers swaying in the wind and lit by the afternoon sun. Then I saw this other spunky spider and was able to capture a decent picture. (Spiders always make me so happy!) and when Ryan got home, we went for a nice bike ride and snacked on some wild radishes alongside the trail. Sometimes, I need the reminder that THIS IS LIFE.
